CAD Highlights

Belt Driven Slider System

Slider uses an open loop 30mm HTD5mm belt to deploy and retract. It is driven by a single Falcon 500 brushless motor with a 64:1 reduction. The design uses bushings, uses laser cut aluminium sheets and box tubing for ease of manufacturing. All laser cut parts have been pocketed for weight reduction. The system weighs only 3.4 kilograms.

Manufacturing Skills

Technical
- create and read technical drawings

Milling Machine
-machine parts by climb and conventional milling, facing, drilling, plunging to given tolerances
-tram milling vices
-read manual and digital read outs

Lathe
-machine parts by turning, facing, drilling, boring and parting off to given tolerances
-read manual and digital read outs

Welding
- stick weld parts together using a fixture table
- design and manufacture custom fixtures for complex parts to minimize warping

CAD

I have extensive experience in OnShape and have also used Fusion 360 and Solidworks proficiently.

I can design complex 3D parts, assemblies, applying DFA (Design for Assembly) and DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles.

Notable projects include FRC Robots, Quadruped Robot and many others.

Programming

I am proficient in Python and Java, with a strong focus on automation and robotics.

I have also worked with C# and done Web Design using JavaScript, PHP and CSS.

Notable projects include a Python-based Instagram automation bot, a custom Java library for an FRC Team, and a web-based scouting solution for robotics teams.

Electronics

I am familiar with designing and incorprating electronics schematics, working with components such as relays, contactors, microcontrollers, IMUs, encoders, and many other sensors.

I also have experience in introductory level PCB design using KiCAD.

Notable projects include CK-700 Electrical System Design, Helium-Assisted Robot Balloon and FRC Robots.

Robotics and Control

I have been deeply involved with robotics and automation since early high school. I am able to develop and tune systems using control concepts such as PID, FeedForward control, filtering and state machines.

I am also familiar with creating relay logic diagrams for automation.
